Nurburgring unable to host the 2015 German Grand Prix

The Nurburgring has confirmed that it is unable to host this year’s German Grand Prix. The race was scheduled to take place on July 19th at the Nurburgring, but a spokeperson for the circuit told Reuters it was not possible due to “time, financial and organizational reasons.” Earlier this week, Hockenheim, who hosted the race last year and are due to host the race next year, said it could not host the race this year either.  Hockenheim and the Nurburgring used to alternate hosting the race but both have struggled financially in recent years, with the Nurburgring changing hands since it last hosted the race in 2013.
