Bottas deemed unfit to race in Australia

Valtteri Bottas will miss the F1 2015 season opener in Australia after FIA's Medical Delegate deemed him unfit to race. The Finn developed back pain during the second session of qualifying on Saturday. He went on to make it through to Q3 and set the sixth fastest time. However, after a trip to the Albert Park Circuit Medical Centre, he was taken to the Albert Hospital in Melbourne for precautionary checks. Williams confirmed on Sunday morning that Bottas had suffered some soft tissue damage to his lower back, later adding that the injury was 'a very small tear in the annular part of a disc in his lower back'.
