Sauber loses van der Garde appeal

– Sauber's appeal over a court verdict that it should run Giedo van der Garde at this weekend's season-opening Australian Grand Prix has been dismissed, effectively leaving the team with three drivers.On Wednesday, van der Garde won his legal case against the outfit, after the Victorian Supreme Court upheld the same judgment made by a Swiss arbitral tribunal last week.Van der Garde, who joined Sauber in a reserve role last year, claimed that he had a valid contract to race in 2015, only for the team to sign Marcus Ericsson and Felipe Nasr.Sauber quickly announced that it would be appealing Wednesday's decision, but this was dismissed by the Victoria Court of Appeal on Thursday...
