Sauber appeal concludes in Melbourne court
Sauber's appeal of the legal decision to force the team to run Giedo Van Der Garde this weekend has ended, with the court set to make their decision at 16.30 local time. Following yesterday's court hearing in which Justice Simon Whelan ruled in favour of Giedo Van Der Garde, Sauber immediately lodged an appeal over the decision, citing safety concerns over an ‘uninsured' driver racing the C34, a car he has not yet driven. Team boss Monisha Kaltenborn was in Court 10 at the Supreme Court in Victoria to hear the appeal, which is an appeal against Van Der Garde's victory yesterday to ensure compliance with an order originally handed down by a Swiss arbitration court in December....
