Rob Smedley expecting surprises in Melbourne
Williams man Rob Smedley says that their new FW37's strengths should become more apparent in Melbourne, and is expecting a few surprises on the Australian street circuit. Heading into his second full season with Williams, Smedley has become an authoritative figure at Grove. He believes that the three pre-season tests were held on circuits which don't suit the FW37 (Jerez & Catalunya), and says that the initial races of 2015 in Australia, Malaysia & China should allow Felipe Massa & Valtteri Bottas to shine: ‘We have been testing at circuits that don’t play fully to the strengths of the FW37 so we are looking forward to the first few races which should suit the FW37s...
