Marchionne: Ferrari and Red Bull on equal footing

Despite its drivers and team principal casting doubt over what appeared to be a massive improvement from the 2014 season in testing, Ferrari president Sergio Marchionne sees the Maranello outfit as poised to make their mark once again after a string of underwhelming seasons. “I don’t want to be over optimistic,” Marchionne said. “But we will be on par with Red Bull when we go onto the circuit.” Ferrari’s new man, who replaced embattled Luca di Montezemolo at the helm of the entire firm mid-season, credits much of the improvement to morale raising.
