Magnussen to test in Spain as Alonso leaves hospital

McLaren have confirmed that despite Fernando Alonso being discharged from hospital, he will sit out of the next test in Barcelona. McLaren's third driver Kevin Magnussen will fill in for Fernando Alonso at the third and final pre-season test in Barcelona. Alonso crashed heavily in his McLaren-Honda on the final day of the second test in Barcelona, this resulted in an extended stay in hospital. In a statement released by McLaren, Alonso appears to have been given the all-clear and will continue further 'rest and recuperation' at home.
