Top Ten Tuesday: 10 Drivers Who Reached Boiling Point
Formula One rivalries rarely reach boiling point off track any more, although we have seen a major on track rivalry last year between Nico and Lewis as well as a few outbursts, such as Romain Grosjean with Jean-Eric Vergne after contact in Austin. This is nothing compared to the years when drivers resorted to aggressive outbursts to express their displeasure. They do seem to peak in the 1980's and 90's and after a quick discussion at FSpy Towers, we concluded that either that was the era when TV coverage started to be comprehensive enough to catch Drivers in ‘private' moments, or prior to this, drivers were more sportsmanlike and the ‘Gentleman Driver' did not partake in that...
