Force India still targeting test for VJM08 debut

Force India says it is still hoping to give the VJM08 its first track time during the third and final pre-season test at the Circuit de Catalunya having persevered with its 2014 specification car this week. Forced to miss the first collective outing of the year in Jerez, Force India made its belated first appearance of 2015 during the second test, albeit with the 2014-specification VJM07 on 2015 Pirelli tyres. It also had Mercedes AMG test driver Pascal Wehrlein in the car on two days of the test as an alternative to a financial recompense to the manufacturer for supply of its power unit.
