Grosjean quickest on dramatic final day
Lotus F1 Team Romain Grosjean topped a dramatic final day of the second pre-season test at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, as Fernando Alonso was airlifted to hospital. Alonso’s McLaren hit the wall on the inside of Turn 3 and after being transported to the circuit’s Medical Centre by ambulance he was transferred by helicopter to hospital. After an anxious wait McLaren confirmed to the gathered press that Alonso had undertaken a CT scan and that he was ‘uninjured and fine’. Grosjean’s best time of the day came during the afternoon session on his only day in the Lotus E23 Hybrid this week.
