Toro Rosso: ‘Verstappen is pushing the team'
Toro Rosso's Senior Engineer has told media that 17 year old Max Verstappen's skill is more than just hype and that he is the best he has seen so far in his career. This is indeed an endorsement when looking at Xevi Pujolar's credentials – he has been in F1 for 15 years and worked alongside drivers including Mark Webber, Juan Pablo Montoya, Pastor Maldonado and most recently, Jean Eric Vergne. He has however, only seen young Verstappen drive during testing on a few occasions before arriving at his assessment. ‘He's the best I've seen so far, you can see the potential is there.' he told media. ‘Now he needs to deliver.
