Mercedes reveal Barcelona schedule

Mercedes is the latest team to confirm their plans for the upcoming Barcelona test with Lewis Hamilton set to put in the laps on Day One. Mercedes had a phenomenal start to this year's pre-season as Hamilton and Nico Rosberg covered 515 laps, over a hundred more than any other team. Added to that, the new W06 showed pace with Rosberg fourth on the timesheets and Hamilton sixth. They were 1.1 and 1.3s respectively off the overall fastest time set by Ferrari's Kimi Raikkonen. Mercedes later revealed that they had been focusing on mileage rather than outright performance, which is something they will switch to at the second test at the Circuit de Catalunya.
