Lotus releases first images of their 2015 challenger

Lotus has sprung a surprise and released images of its new E23 Hybrid ahead of its official launch, which is due at the first pre-season test later this week. The outfit has switched from Renault to Mercedes power as it looks to return to the front of the grid following a disappointing season at the very back. Speaking about the car, Lotus CEO Matthew Carter called the car a "huge step forward" which should enable the team to take a "huge step forward." "The E23 Hybrid represents a new era for Lotus F1 Team, not only in the change to a Mercedes Benz Power Unit, but also it is the fruition of a busy winter behind the scenes," said Carter."
