FIA launches legal action against Streiff

– The FIA, President Jean Todt and Medical Commission boss Gérard Saillant are planning to take legal action against ex-Formula 1 driver Philippe Streiff.Streiff, wheelchair-bound since an F1 testing crash in 1989, has been quoted as saying that the panel setup to investigate Jules Bianchi's Japanese Grand Prix accident acted to clear the FIA of any blame.On Thursday, the governing body repsonded to Streiff's remarks with a scathing statement, in which it confirmed that lawyers have been asked to file a complaint for public defamation."The FIA, its President Jean Todt, as well as Gérard Saillant, President of the FIA Medical Commission, are dismayed to learn of the remarks...
