No interest in joining Formula 1 grid - Porsche
Porsche has no interest in joining the Formula 1 grid according to chief designer Wolfgang Hatz, who believes the World Endurance Championship (WEC) is far more relevant. The German sportscar manufacturer has been linked with F1 several times in recent years, but it's a non-starter according to Hatz. "Formula 1 is not a topic for us and it will not be one," he told Auto Motor und Sport. "Le Mans [WEC], on the other hand, is increasingly becoming a more attractive environment. More and more rivals are coming in and we learn more for our consumer line." The company returned to the WEC LMP1 class in 2014 and claimed victory at the final round of the championship in Brazil....
