Jean-Eric Vergne to make Formula E debut in Uruguay

Former Toro Rosso driver Jean-Eric Vergne has confirmed that he will make his Formula E debut this weekend, just three weeks on from his last F1 race. Vergne made his debut with Toro Rosso back in 2012, but after missing out on a move up to the senior Red Bull team for both 2013 and 2014, the decision was taken to let the Frenchman go in favour of Carlos Sainz Jr. for 2015. However, he has not remained a free agent for long, taking to Twitter this afternoon to confirm that he will be racing for Andretti Autosport's Formula E team at the race in Uruguay this weekend.
