McLaren-Honda set for first run

Honda's new turbocharged F1 engine will power the McLaren MP4-29H at Silverstone on Friday for a day of promotional work. Honda will return to Formula 1 next season having signed a multi-year deal to power McLaren. Just months before the 1.6-litre turbocharged V6 engine contests its first grand prix, the new unit is set for its first run in an F1 car. The Honda engine will be installed in a development car, the MP4-29H, taking to the Silverstone circuit for a day of filming. McLaren tweeted: "Getting set for Silverstone tomorrow for a filming day.
