Hamilton tops Rosberg in first practice
Lewis Hamilton kicked off the United States Grand Prix weekend in the best possible fashion by topping the times at the end of a troublefree FP1. Team mate Nico Rosberg was second fastest, ahead of Jenson Button.
Time differences proved fairly big in the first practice session, with Button more than half a second ahead of Daniil Kvyat and McLaren team mate Kevin Magnussen. Fernando Alonso was 6th fastest following numerous wild moments on track. Felipe Nasr meanwhile was allowed a run in the Williams while Max Verstappen enjoyed his second outing for Toro Rosso, preparing for next year.
