DTM champion Wittmann awarded Toro Rosso test
Marco Wittmann
Recently crowned 2014 DTM Champion Marco Wittmann has earned a Formula 1 test with Toro Rosso as a reward winning the prestigious German touring car title for BMW.
The marque's motorsport chief Jens Marquardt gave details of the test following the DTM's season finale at Hockenheim, 'It is up to us to reward Marco for his services. Therefore, BMW M GmbH has come up with something special. I am delighted we can make his childhood dream come true with the Formula 1 test.
'Thanks to good relations with our premium partner Red Bull, we were able to arrange a test drive at Toro Rosso. We are excited to see how he fares in this vehicle!'
