DTM champion Wittmann to test for Toro Rosso

+ Marco Wittmann, who secured the DTM drivers' title this year with BMW Motorsport, will be heading to the post-race Formula One test in Abu Dhabi to test with Scuderia Toro Rosso. The 24-year-old became the youngest German driver in the series' thirty-year history to take the title, having won four races this year and consistent points finishes, finishing fifty points ahead of Audi's Mattias Ekström. Wittmann was informed of the opportunity to drive a current Formula One car at the end-of-season team party by BMW Motorsport Director Jens Marquardt, who said that his efforts in the DTM since joining as test driver in 2012 were to be rewarded.
