Mercedes wins first F1 constructors' title
Mercedes won its first F1 constructors' championship thanks to Lewis Hamilton's victory in the Russian Grand Prix. Hamilton led home team-mate Nico Rosberg to secure the team's ninth one-two of a dominant season. The result was enough to give Mercedes an unassailable lead over previous champions Red Bull with three races and double points in Abu Dhabi still remaining. Mercedes has taken full advantage of the 2014 regulations to dominate the season, with its total of 522 points leaving it 190 points clear of Red Bull after 16 rounds. Executive director (business) Toto Wolff said the achievement is tempered by events at Suzuka a week ago but revealed his pride at Mercedes' success....
