No Alonso cycling team next year

– Fernando Alonso will not have a cycling team in 2015, the International Cycling Union has announced.Alonso has been working on setting up his own international cycling team since last year after plans to purchase the company in charge of Euskaltel-Euskadi floundered.However Alonso's squad were not on the list of teams published on Wednesday by the ICU that have applied for licences."Over the last few months the UCI has had very cordial and productive discussions with Fernando Alonso and his representatives concerning a possible team for 2015," read a statement to the media."Whilst this has not led to a team for 2015, we thank Fernando Alonso for his interest and...
