Marussia calls for patience after Bianchi surgery

The Marussia F1 Team has called for patience as the world awaits further updates on the condition of critically injured driver Jules Bianchi. The 25-year-old suffered a serious head injury when his Marussia spun and collided with a tractor that was recovering Adrian Sutil's stricken Sauber in the closing stages of the Japanese Grand Prix. The FIA advised on Sunday evening that Bianchi was undergoing surgery at the Mie General Hospital, after which he was due to be transferred to intensive care.
