Bianchi transferred to hospital following Japanese GP accident

+ Marussia driver Jules Bianchi has been taken to hospital following an accident during the Japanese Grand Prix. Bianchi went off at Turn 7, where Sauber’s Adrian Sutil had crashed earlier, prompting the red flags. According to Sutil, Bianchi’s car collided with the recovery vehicle that was clearing the damaged Sauber. The FIA has confirmed that an unconscious Bianchi has been taken to hospital via ambulance, rather than via helicopter, owing to the weather, which deteriorated late in the race. “The driver is not conscious, he has been sent to the hospital by ambulance because the helicopter cannot go in these conditions,” confirmed FIA press officer Matteo Bonciani. “Further...
