Lotus praises 'exemplary' Maldonado

– The Lotus team has praised Pastor Maldonado for delivering an "exemplary" performance in Sunday's Italian Grand Prix at Monza.Maldonado, who was knocked out of the first qualifying phase with team-mate Romain Grosjean, crossed the line in a lowly 14th position.While that would not normally be a result to talk up, Lotus chiefs were keen to applaud their driver given the challenging circumstances."We saw a very strong race from Pastor who didn't put a foot wrong and extracted the maximum," said Deputy Team Principal Federico Gastaldi.Trackside Operations Director Alan Permane added: "14th isn't where we want to finish but there were signs of encouragement....
