Hamilton edges Rosberg to Italian Grand Prix pole

+ Lewis Hamilton stormed to his first pole position since May with a dominant performance during qualifying for the Italian Grand Prix. Hamilton, fastest in the two opening segments of qualifying, posted a time of 1:24.109 early in the final shootout to secure his fifth pole of the season and his first since the Spanish Grand Prix. Nico Rosberg had to settle for second in the sister Mercedes, two tenths down on his team-mate. Valtteri Bottas was third fastest for Williams, two tenths clear of his team-mate Felipe Massa, in an excellent qualifying session for the resurgent Grove-based team.
