Hamilton tops opening practice in Monza

+ Lewis Hamilton dominated opening practice for Mercedes ahead of the Italian Grand Prix. Hamilton, a former winner at Monza, went fastest with a best lap of 1:26.187 to top the time sheets ahead of his former McLaren team-mate Jenson Button by six tenths of a second. Nico Rosberg ended the morning session third in the sister Mercedes car, eight tenths adrift of his dominant team-mate. Fernando Alonso was fourth fastest for Ferrari, the Spaniard edging Kevin Magnussen, who had a bizarre moment when his headrest worked itself lose, to fifth, on what was a strong morning for McLaren, both cars in the top five.
