Haas F1 Team announces 'multi-year' Ferrari technical partnership

The newly-renamed Haas F1 Team, which is set to join the Formula 1 grid in 2016, has officially announced a multi-year technical partnership deal with Ferrari. The sport's most successful outfit will become Haas F1′s technical partner, supplying the team with its V6 Turbo power-unit and gearbox, as well as providing other technical support. Ferrari was thought to be the top choice for Gene Haas' new team for some time and a commercial tie-up between the Maranello-based outfit and his company Haas Automation was confirmed in July.
