Verstappen clouts barrier in first public F1 drive

Recently signed 2015 Toro Rosso driver Max Verstappen has endured an embarrassing first public outing in a Formula 1 car at a demonstration event in the Netherlands. The 16-year-old, who will become the youngest driver to start a grand prix next March, clouted a barrier with the front of the STR7 while entertaining the crowd. The incident occurred moments after the car was pushed back from another barrier by event officials. The front-end damage was repaired at the event by the team, allowing subsequent demonstration runs to be completed.
