Tech Analysis: Mid-season review
2014 has been an intriguing year for tech. William Tyson investigates how the cars have evolved over the first half of the year.
Other than the normal development procedures, there have been one or two noteworthy pieces of tech that have caught the eye this year. As well as clever power unit software trickery, even the aerodynamicists have had their fair share of limelight this year as the teams continue to understand the new aero packages and how they integrate with the cooling of the hybrid system – all despite complaints that the regulations are appearing to stagnate.
