Ferrari confirms Marmorini departure

Scuderia Ferrari Ferrari has announced that Luca Marmorini has left his position as Director of Engine and Electronics, with immediate effect. The long serving Marmorini had presided over Ferrari's transition into the new era of Formula 1 regulations, but its Power Unit has failed to live up to expectations, with Ferrari currently win-less in 2014. The reshuffled engine department means that Mattia Binotto will become the Chief Operating Officer of its Power Unit department and he will work closely with Technical Director James Allison. Lorenzo Sassi, who has worked at the team since 2006, will be Chief Designer of the Power Unit.
