Fuel system problem to blame for Kobayashi retirement
A fuel system problem prevented Kamui Kobayashi from finishing today's Hungarian Grand Prix at the Hungaroring.
The Japanese driver was forced to stop his car and exit the race on lap 22 after he lost power. It is his fourth retirement of the 2014 Formula 1 season so far and was a disappointing way to head into the summer break.
'It’s obviously a shame we couldn’t finish the race today but an issue with the fuel system meant I had to stop the car as I had no power,' he explained.
'My start was pretty good – I stayed on the outside to avoid any issues going into turn one and I had good traction out of the first corner, helping me pass a couple of cars and straight away I could push....
