Mercedes backtrack on Brembo blame for Hamilton shunt
Lewis Hamilton slams the wall during Hockenheim qualifying
Mercedes were quick to point a finger at Brembo after Lewis Hamilton's qualifying crash during the German Grand Prix weekend at Hockenheim, but now have released a joint statement with the Formula 1 brake supplier in what appears to be a reversal of opinion by the Silver Arrows outfit.
Statement: 'Following the accident experienced by Lewis Hamilton last Saturday at Hockenheim, Brembo and Mercedes AMG Petronas F1 Team have been working hand in hand to analyse and identify the causes of the failure.'
