Perez expects tough qualifying, stronger race

Sergio Perez is confident he can turn in a strong race day performance in the German Grand Prix, even if he believes the searing temperatures at the Hockenheimring will make qualifying relatively difficult. With track temperatures rising to almost 60 degrees as Germany bathes in a heatwave spreading across Europe this weekend, Perez endured an indifferent day in the Sahara Force India, the Mexican ending FP2 with the 13th best lap time. Indeed, though times were certainly close in the mid-field with just seven tenths covering sixth down to 15th, Perez admits the high temperatures are making it difficult to get the most from the supersoft tyres over an out-lap and a flying lap.
