Mercedes solves Rosberg gearbox problem

ercedes has determined the cause of the gearbox issue Nico Rosberg suffered at the British Grand Prix.The German was leading the Silverstone race when his unit hit trouble and gradually worsened as the laps ticked by, leading to his first retirement of the 2014 campaign and handing the victory to team-mate Lewis Hamilton.But the outfit says measures have since been taken to ensure that there is no repeat in future races."The main priority of the days since has been to understand the gearbox problem we saw with Nico's car and to make sure there is no recurrence moving forwards," said Paddy Lowe, Executive Director (Technical)."A lot of work has been put into rectifying the...
