Maldonado excluded from qualifying
Getty Images Enlarge Pastor Maldonado has been excluded from the qualifying results for the British Grand Prix and will start Sunday's race from the back of the grid after Lotus was unable to provide a one litre fuel sample after the session. Maldonado stopped on track in Q2 with what Lotus called a "fuel issue", but after the session the stewards excluded him for failing to provide a fuel sample. "There was an insufficient amount of fuel to provide a 1.0 litre fuel sample and therefore this is in breach of Article 6.6.2 of the FIA Formula One Technical Regulations," read the stewards' statement.
