Hamilton moves ahead despite stoppage
ewis Hamilton moved ahead of Mercedes team-mate Nico Rosberg during second practice for the British Grand Prix, despite a late technical-related stoppage. The Briton delivered a 1:34.508 on the Medium tyres to finish just over two tenths clear, with Fernando Alonso and Ferrari again best of the rest.Hamilton, who trailed championship leader Rosberg in the morning's first session, controlled the initial Prime tyre phase in front of his home crowd.And when the switch to the softer, Option rubber arrived, he pulled out an advantage of 0.228 seconds.He could have lapped faster, having topped all three sectors, but those splits came on different laps.There was a negative aspect to Hamilton's...
