Renault confirms Red Bull contract is until 2016

Red Bull powered by Renault Renault has tipped reports about its future to eventually disappear amid reports, in the paddock at Red Bull's own circuit this weekend, that the reigning champion team is planning to dump struggling Renault in order to build its own bespoke Formula 1 power unit. And a related report is that, if that does happen, Renault could simply quit Formula 1 altogether. Responding to the reports in Austria, Renault Sport Formula 1 chief Jean-Michel Jalinier insisted: 'We have a three-year supplier contract with Red Bull Racing, which runs to the end of 2016.'
