Austrian GP Qualifying: Massa on pole as Williams stun Mercedes

Felipe Massa Felipe Massa powered to pole position for the Austrian Grand Prix and will share the front row with teammate Valtteri Bottas as Williams stunned Mercedes in qualifying at Red Bull Ring. For Massa, sho survived a huge crash in Canada two weeks earlier, this will be his first top spot start in sixth years, and while Williams rose to the occasion Mercedes seemed to implode yet again. Although Nico Rosberg will start from third, he would have been expecting more and teammate Lewis Hamilton who appeared to have the edge over all his rivals botched his two runs in Q3 – he will start ninth on the grid.
