Perez held guilty for last-lap collision with Massa
Sergio Perez was held responsible for the last-lap crash with Felipe Massa at the Canadian Grand Prix on Sunday and was handed a five-place grid penalty for the next race. The two were battling for the fourth place when the Williams lunged at Turn 1 to make a move on Perez but the Force India swerved to the left and the two made contact sending them into the barriers nearly collecting Red Bull driver Sebastian Vettel, who was ahead. The stewards issued a statement which read that Perez “changed his racing line which caused the impact.” Both were sent to the hospital for precautionary checks.
