Smedley: Williams in good shape
Rob Smedley believes Williams is “in good shape” to have a strong weekend at the Canadian Grand Prix. Williams struggled at times during the Monaco Grand Prix, but still came away with six points thanks to Felipe Massa's seventh place. One area the team was struggling was with front tyre warm-up and Smedley admits that will be an area of focus for Williams in Montreal but expects the track characteristics to suit the FW36. “Canada is a very special circuit due to the long fast straights and slow corners,” Smedley said. “We will take the same compounds as Monaco so we know how these tyres work from the last race.
