Wolff: Merc ‘a bit intense internally’

Toto Wolff says the situation at Mercedes is “getting a bit intense internally”, but wants to continue letting Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg race. Hamilton has made clear that he believes Rosberg deliberately went off in qualifying for the Monaco Grand Prix in order to secure pole position, with Rosberg going on to win the race. As part of the fallout it has emerged that both drivers have gone against team instructions during recent races and turned up their engine settings in an attempt to secure victory.
