Sutton Images Enlarge Fernando Alonso thinks fourth is as high as he could have finished Monaco after overcoming MGU-K and brake issues at either end of the race to bring his Ferrari home 23 seconds off the podium. Alonso lost out at the start to team-mate Kimi Raikkonen and spent the first lap fending off the cars behind him as his energy recovery unit took several corners to start working. Sebastian Vettel's retirement and Raikkonen's puncture after contact with Max Chilton brought Alonso back to fourth but he says he just did not have the pace to keep up with Daniel Ricciardo.
