Maldonado feels big step at Lotus

Pastor Maldonado believes Lotus has made “a big step” forward in performance thanks to a strong two days of testing in Spain. While Charles Pic was second fastest on the opening day, Maldonado set the quickest time on Wednesday to ensure Lotus finished the test top of the timing screens. However, of more value to the team was the fact that Maldonado managed to complete over 100 laps having struggled in previous tests, and he said it had helped Lotus make significant progress.
