Grosjean stars in qualifying as Maldonado hits the wall

It was another mixed qualifying session for the Lotus F1 Team, with Romain Grosjean making it through to the top 10 shoot-out in Spain and Pastor Maldonado finding the wall in Q1. Lotus had high hopes of making strong steps forward at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya and the team looks like it has done just that, with Grosjean showing impressive speed throughout the qualifying hour. He just managed to escape the Q1 drop-zone before easily making it through to the final session for the second time in 2014. After a disrupted start, he put in a lap time good enough for fifth place – ahead of both Ferrari drivers, Jenson Button, Felipe Massa and Sebastian Vettel. The top five grid...
