Teams insist cost cap is not dead

Sahara Force India Several Formula 1 team principals have insisted that the concept of a cost cap for Formula 1 is not dead. Plans were announced earlier in the year for the sport to adopt cost control next season but FIA president Jean Todt revealed at the Bahrain Grand Prix last month that the strategy group voted against such measures. But a couple of senior figures within the sport are adamant that the cost cap can still happen. "I don’t believe… from our point of view, I don't believe the cost cap is dead," said Force India deputy team principal Bob Fernley.
