2015 F1 race seat the aim for de Silvestro
Simona de Silvestro has her eyes set on a 2015 Formula 1 drive after starting her testing programme with Sauber.
The Swiss outfit confirmed de Silvestro as an affiliated driver in February and she completed her first test at the wheel of F1 machinery last month.
The 25-year-old completed two days of running in the 2012 Sauber C31 at the Fiorano circuit and will test the car again at the Valencia track in June.
After leaving a career in IndyCar, she is hoping to reach her goal of driving in Formula 1 next season. 'Racing next year is the goal,' de Silvestro told reporters at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya in Spain.
