De Silvestro conducts Sauber test
Sauber F1 Team
Sauber affiliate driver Simona De Silvestro received her first taste of Formula 1 action on Saturday in Italy.
De Silvestro conducted a test in the Sauber C31 at Fiorano, with Sauber revealing that the Swiss racer completed 69 laps during her first morning of running at the circuit.
De Silvestro joined Sauber at the start of the season after spending several years in IndyCars.
She is expected to sample Sauber's C33 later in the year.
De Silvestro will return to the wheel of the C31 on Sunday as she completes her two day test.
