Red Bull lose appeal against Riccardo's disqualification

Red Bull lost its appeal on Tuesday against the disqualification of driver Daniel Riccardo at the season-opening Australian Grand Prix last month over a fuel flow issue. Ricciardo had finished the race in Melbourne in second place, only to be excluded from the results several hours later, after his car was found in breach of technical regulations. Red Bull pursued the matter further challenging the stewards’ decision at the governing body’s International Court of Appeal headquarters in Paris but after a six hour hearing the verdict was upheld.
