Fernando Alonso insists that he can Ferrari can still fight for the title despite a disappointing performance in the Bahrain Grand Prix.
Alonso finished the race in ninth place, while championship leaders Mercedes extended their advantage after coming home in first and second.
"From the inside we were missing performance, especially the top speed," he told reporters following the race. "We were missing a little bit in a battling race like today and we were not in a strong position.
